Winter Rust

Yesterday I went to the V&A Museum to see the Shoes: Pleasure and Pain Exhibition with my friend Amy. The exhibition was definitely worth seeing and afterwards we got a couple of snaps in the South Kensington area. Since I've been working at ASOS I have noticed my style has been changing quite a bit. I have been opted for solid colours instead of prints because I find it easier to style different ways. I am obsessed with this new rust colour at the moment.

Working at ASOS

The past couple of weeks I have been working with the ASOS Studio Department. I have been splitting my time between the studio and the management team helping out wherever I can. I am having the best time here. The Studio Department are really friendly and it is a very creative and on the go environment.

I decided to share some pictures from my phone. Granted the quality isn't amazing but I think it's interesting to see what the company is like behind the scenes. So here are some sneak peaks. The following photos show the footwear photoshoot. This was my first day working in the Studios.

This picture was taken on the second Studio day. They were shooting Womenswear which was a lot more physically demanding because I had to keep track of the product codes while assisting the models and stylist.

Denim Days

Recently Denim has definitely been a big fashion trend. I have decide to share some of my favourite picks. I shall leave links below. ASOS and Oasis Fashion both have a great selection of Denim at the moment.

V&A Spitalfields Shift Dress

In this blogpost I have shown the versatility of this dress. I am obsessed with fringe at the moment because of the Boho trend going on. I have a bigger bust so I have to be careful about how I wear fringe. I avoid fringe tops but I have opted for a fringe accessory and a waistcoat where the fringe hits  below the chest. Adding an accessory is a great way to stay on trend without necessarily buying the whole outfit.

For the evenings I have opted for the blazer which has a lovely embroidered texture on top. This adds dimension to the outfit however doesn't look overwhelming because it is a solid white colour.

V&A Fringe

I have wanted to post this outfit for a while. The matching co-ord is from Oasis's V&A Range. I have to admit I am a huge fan of this collection. The second part of the collection is more appropriate for the winter. The MissGuided waistcoat has nearly sold out but I actually bought a Size 6. It's a loose waistcoat so I wouldn't worry about sizing.

I am interning at ASOS Head Office for two weeks with in the PR Department. I have completed my first week and I am really enjoying myself. I saw Millie Macintosh at the reception the other day and she has now posted some photos of herself in ASOS Studios on her Instagram account.

Pastel Blue Tie Dye

This dress was a recent purchase from the Oasis sale. It's very formal however it's perfect for evenings out in the nice weather because of the straps. The blazer is just over a year old but it goes with everything. It's originally from Topshop. I recommend if you plan to invest in a blazer buy a solid colour. I find it's much easier to pair with the rest of my wardrobe. Buying a blazer with a print can restrict the rest of your outfit.

Ted Baker SS'16 - Leadenhall Building

I completely forgot to make a post about my dressing experience at Ted Baker's SS'16 catwalk show. This took place on the 6th of July at the top of Leadenhall Building in Bank. The view was spectacular! There were two shows throughout the day so it was a long day but definitely worth it. My main tasks throughout the day were preparing the goodie bags and dressing the models for the show. This was my second Ted Baker show I have helped out with and this time we were allowed to take pictures. Some of these pictures were taken on my phone so I apologise for the quality but at least you can get a sneak peak of the new collection.

The runway had palm trees either side to keep in with the Spring/Summer theme.

Another task was tying the butterflies onto the palm trees.

In between dressing for each show I managed to get a couple of pictures of the beautiful view. The Leadenhall building is just alongside the Gherkin and 20 Fenchurch building (also known as the Walkie-Talkie because of its shape).
